This Beech tree had several large limbs that needed removing, it was in a big garden with no obstructions underneath so a fairly straightforward job.

This Cypress tree dominated a small garden and posed a risk to surrounding property so the owner decided to remove it. It was dismantled to prevent damage to fences and outbuildings in the immediate area, spikes were used to climb it, at first all the branches were removed, then, as there was no room to fell it, the trunk was dismantled in metre sections to ground level.

The above Holm Oak was about 30 metres high, it overshadowed the owners garden and posed a risk to their business as they ran a kennel and cattery. The hoist was used to reach the necessary heights to reduce the risks involved, the weather did not help as it was quite windy, it is a difficult tree to climb and there are many hazards below the tree. Each cutting had to be carefully lowered to the ground before the foliage was chipped up and the wood was chopped up for firewood by the owner.

Black poplars in Hasketon
These Black poplars were felled in winter 2006. Due to the power lines under the trees EDF were involved in the operation as the electricity had to be turned off. This effected the whole village so the the job was carried out quickly and efficiently.

This pear tree was reduced as it was getting too tall and was leaning towards the neighbours garden.

Reducing trees and hedges around gardens will open up the garden and allow more light in.
